I have stalled long enough. We almost never part with one of our adult heritage ewes, and the thought of selling several of them this year makes me very wistful. But we have sent our sheep to many many other farms over the years with happy results and I know that will happen again this time, so here goes:
As part of our half-sized-flock, half-sized-price sale, all of these handsome British Soay ewes are available for $250 each. We hope you will give one or more of them a good home!
2014 ewe Catton is a light mouflon with the “new” AI genes in her pedigree
2010 ewe Debenham has successfully lambed for several years on our farm
2013 ewe Abington is a gorgeous dark ewe who produced an equally handsome ewe lamb in her first year here
2014 ewe Radcliffe is shy but ready to breed this fall
2014 ewe Blyth is a dark brown beauty ready to breed this fall
2010 ewe Colney carries the genes for both white spotting and light phase (tan) and has begun twinning on our farm
2011 ewe Netley has twinned twice for us so far and has the new AI genetics in her pedigree
2012 ewe Bovey’s mother is the AI daughter of our 2009 AI donor ram and her father is the son of our other AI donor ram so she is especially genetically diverse
Winsome 2014 ewe Kirkley carries the gene for white spotting and has lovely flared horns
Handsome 2011 ewe Tilmore has areas of white frosting under her chin and a melodious “gurgle” with her lambs
2012 ewe Clovelly has a calm demeanor reflected in this elegant pose
2014 ewe Linton has pretty backswept horns and is ready to breed this fall
If you are interested in adding any of these ewes to your flock, please give us a call.
Next up, a sample of the rams we have included in our half-price sale.
For now …
